A winner of many P.G.A. events in Ireland, Geoff has also played in European Tour events including the Irish Open and the P.G.A. Championship at Wentworth, England.

Geoff, a left hander, plays golf to an incredible standard. He’s such a talent in the game that he can even play right handed to single figure standard.

In 2012 Geoff turned his attention to coaching. Geoff now concentrates his efforts on the coaching of top amateur and professional golfers on a full-time basis including Irish Internationals such as Michael Hoey who became British Amateur Champion in 2001.
Having learnt from some of the world’s best coaches, Geoff has a wealth of experience when it comes to training an individual in the art of golf. In his early teaching career Geoff worked under the guidance of Michael Bannon, renowned as one of the best golf coaches in the world.

He turned pro in 1996 and has played in over 350 tour events as a touring professional. Highlights includes two tournament wins, including the Azores Open. He also made two Open Championship appearances in 1997 and 2003. He retired from tournament play in 2013 due to injury.

He is now a Sky sports, European Tour Productions and Golf Channel commentator. His media career has developed since his playing days have stopped with radio and corporate broadcast appearances, but his passion has always been golf and he is delighted to be part of the coaching staff at Roganstown.

Having embarked on a successful playing career it was a natural progression to return to the coaching side of the game. He has been fortunate to work with some of the coaching greats of the game; Bob Torrance, Butch and Claude Harmon and Pete Cowen are just some of the coaches that he worked with during his playing career. That library of knowledge is one of Gary’s greatest attributes as he now embarks on the coaching side of the game. He is available for individual and group lessons.

Not only is Gary a terrific technical coach he also has huge experience in the high-pressure world of professional play. Most amateurs can play a decent round of golf but often struggle to win or compete when the pressure is on; Gary has been there and done that and therefore can certainly help with realising your golfing potential.
